About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Security Architect (SSEA) to join our Group IT Architecture Chapter. This role is responsible for ensuring the security of customer-facing banking mobile applications and their ecosystem. The SSEA will work closely with delivery teams and business leaders to design secure, compliant, and resilient solutions, while also guiding teams in adopting security best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement security solutions for iOS & Android banking apps, APIs, and integrated systems.
- Conduct data classification, asset valuation, and threat modeling to proactively address risks.
- Develop and enforce security standards, patterns, and requirements across mobile applications and APIs.
- Ensure compliance with global and regional regulatory frameworks (e.g., PCI-DSS).
- Propose and integrate fraud management solutions for banking mobile apps.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to embed security early (“shift-left”) in product development.
- Mentor and coach junior architects; run security education and awareness workshops.
- Present and communicate security strategies effectively to both technical and business leaders.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience securing banking mobile apps (iOS & Android).
- Deep knowledge of mobile app security controls, API security, and fraud prevention mechanisms.
- Strong understanding of application security (OWASP Top 10), mobile OWASP Top 10, and infrastructure security.
- Experience with secure build, deployment, and app store distribution processes.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance, fraud management, and emerging technologies (e.g., blockchain, digital currencies, ML in banking).
- Ability to assess third-party integrations from a security perspective.
- Excellent skills in stakeholder management, critical thinking, and decision-making.
